To His Coy Mistress
One of the things i saw in this poem was the argue of the man to have have sex with the girl i got this idea after reading lines 20-30 he talks about the girls virginity being eaten by worms which is what happens to our body when we die and his lust after and he seems to be trying to convince her because they are going to die soon "But at my back I always hear Time’s wingèd chariot hurrying near;And yonder all before us lie Deserts of vast eternity." He also seems to be convincing which can be good for his intentions??

Excellent analysis and thank you for referring to specific lines to illustrate your point. This is a well structured argument but whether it is persuasive enough is debatable. Do you think the speaker is convincing? Or does his formally structured argument work against him achieving his goal?
