"To His Coy Mistress"

I like this poem because from my interpretation the masculinity illustrated is highly influenced on the appreciation of the woman's character. Why is the man so persistent in getting this woman to be involved sexually with him if he is so attracted to her coyness?

  1. I guess we first have to establish what we understand the word 'coy' to mean. Also, where do you see the speaker expressing his appreciation for the woman's character? Specific lines?
